Copper Ridge Landscape Project in Traverse City, MI
Magnificent views of Traverse City. . .Magnificent Landscapes
A 55 acre professional office and retail establishment site located at the western edge of Traverse City Michigan.
Master landscaper, Randy Huffman of Landscaping by Huffman was well acquainted with Rick and Connie Deneweth, the developers of the Copper Ridge project.
Designing and building the landscapes for the Deneweths’ past and present homes, Randy had a good understanding of the Deneweths’ appreciation for lush, green landscapes. For Randy they had only one instruction, “Make Copper Ridge Beautiful!”
The Copper Ridge landscape areas were seas of weed and debris filled hills. Randy had a vision of a large office complex set in a city park environment. The design of this particular landscape was to coordinate a park-like setting to the sloping terrains and the architecture of the buildings. Using quality nursery trees, shrubs and perennials, large boulders and chunk limestone, thick lush green lawns combined with sitting patios and street names that accent the complex’s terrain, this award winning breath-taking design was accomplished.
The landscape is inviting as well as functional – two aspects not always seen together on a project of this size. Visitors and employees alike often comment “It is so beautiful here, I never want to leave.”
